As an aspiring elderly curmudgeon I tend to like older fiction.
Here’s the latest authors in my kindle queue.
- Jerry Pournelle – Janissaries
- Terry Prachett – Discworld books
- Jack Vance – The Dying Earth
- Michael Moorcock – Elric multiverse
- Rex Stout – Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin detective stories
- Roger Zelazny – Amber series
- Robert A. Heinlein – The Moon is a Harsh Mistress
- Ian M. Banks – The Culture series
- Clive Barker – The Damnation Game
- Larry Niven – Ringworld
I’ve listed the first series or novel I think of when that author’s name is mentioned. I only took the 10 most recent authors. In the course of looking through the authors I’ve read recently I realized that most are science fiction, with a bit of fantasy and some mysteries.
